Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Audio / Video Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, specifying, and managing the installation of integrated audio and video systems.

This role requires a deep understanding of system design principles, strong project management skills, and the ability to ensure that all systems meet the required scope of work and exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • System Design and Specifications :
  • Design and specify audio and video integrated systems to meet project requirements and client expectations.
  • Develop and review detailed system drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure system design aligns with project scope, industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Project Coordination / Management :
  • Identify and assist in change orders during project installation phase and notify Project Manager.
  • Diagnose and correct system deficiencies and develop effective solutions.
  • Ensure project managers are well informed on status of development effort and programming status of assigned projects.
  • System Engineering and Modification :
  • Modify system engineering designs as needed to address changes or issues identified during installation.
  • Document redline updates and revisions to system drawings and technical documentation.
  • Documentation and Configuration :
  • Provide clear and concise documentation on all configurations necessary for successful system implementation, including network configurations, video settings, and DSP (Digital Signal Processing) settings.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive records of system configurations, installation procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Quality Assurance and Testing :
  • Conduct thorough testing of audio and video systems to ensure they meet design specifications and performance standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise, providing effective solutions to ensure system functionality.
  • Client Interaction and Support :
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding technical aspects of the audio and video systems.
  • Provide technical support and training to clients as needed to ensure they are fully knowledgeable about system operation.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelors degree in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in audio / video system design (AutoCAD), installation, and project management.
  • Technical Skills :
  • Proficiency in audio and video system design software and tools.
  • Strong knowledge of network configurations, DSP settings, and video settings.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for integrated audio / video systems.
  • Project Management : Demonstrated experience in managing projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordination.
  • Communication : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation.
  • Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
