Position Summary
Our client, a well-established leader in waterproofing and restoration services, seeks an experienced and skilled Estimator Project Manager to join their Concrete Restoration department.
This role involves managing the end-to-end estimating and project management process, ensuring accuracy in cost estimation and efficiency in project execution.
Ideal candidates will possess excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Estimate and manage commercial construction projects from initiation through completion.
- Review and interpret project plans, blueprints, and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Prepare take-offs, define the scope of work, and assemble bid packages.
- Obtain quotes by communicating with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Analyze bid results, preparing detailed proposals and cost estimates for clients.
- Oversee all aspects of project management, from scheduling and budgeting to quality control, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
- Monitor project progress and maintain effective communication with clients, subcontractors, and team members to ensure project goals are met.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project reports.
- Develop and pursue project leads to support business growth.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating and project management.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs, with experience reading blueprints and project specifications.
- Familiarity with contract and subcontract terms, as well as the ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control project costs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, exhibiting strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Experience with Specialty Contractors or Self-Performing contractors is preferred; sales / marketing experience is a plus.
Travel : This position requires travel to job sites. Approved travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Work Environment
This role includes both office-based and fieldwork, with exposure to seasonal temperatures, heights, confined spaces, loud noises, and indoor / outdoor settings near traffic.
Fieldwork may involve standing or walking for extended periods.
