ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Manage department employees to include : monitoring of job performance, attendance, vacation and reviews.

Develop and maintain quality management system to include : providing training, facilitating continous improvement ideas and providing leadership during internal and external audits.

Maintaining all records required for traceability and audit purposes.

Disposition of non-conforming product to include : verifying non-conformances are addressed in a timely manner. Ensuring proper identification and segregation.

Providing communication to all interested parties.

Issuing and managing of corrective / preventive actions to include those generated by customer complaints and internal audits.

Analyzing returned goods to ensure they are processed in a timely manner. Communicating results back to customer and senior leadership.

Processing of claims / customer credits (RGA’s)

Develop test procedures for raw materials and finished goods and document standard procedures for application.

Ensure that in-process testing is accomplished in a timely fashion ands serve as a backup as necessary

Bachelor Degree from accreditted 4 year college.

Familiarity with ISO9001. Lead auditor preffered.

Previous experience in a manufacturing facility governed by a QMS.

Ability to read, understand, and follow Quality Control specifications written in English, including units of measure in both English and Metric

Ability to read and understand formulations in both percent and batch format

Satisfactory completion of required Forbo training programs (i.e. Job Training, Safety, Right to Know, Chemical Safety Standards, etc.)

Familiar with plastics or coatings processing desirable.

Strong knowledge of computer applications.

WORKING CONDITIONS : Position requires, but is not limited to the following demands / factors :

Physical :

  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing and / or sitting with occasional walking
  • Writing in English and use of computer
  • Reaching, bending, squatting, and stretching
  • Speak clearly and distinctly in English to verbally communicate with others
  • Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less to be able to record various data and to identify material flaws

Environmental :

  • Possible exposure to laboratory chemicals
  • Temperature range of 60 to 90 degrees Farenheit
  • Humidity level between 45 - 70 %

Protective clothing / devices to include (when appropriate) :

  • Cut resistant gloves
  • Safety glasses
  • Rubber gloves
  • Safety Shoes - Steel-toe anti-static
