Guy Carpenter’s Rating Advisory Team consists of experienced professionals who help effectively and efficiently manage our clients' rating agency relationship.

Our Rating Advisory experts work in collaboration with the rest of the client's Guy Carpenter team to provide best-in-class solutions that help achieve their strategic and rating goals.

We are currently seeking an VP level candidate in the New York or Philadelphia office.

  • You will support a senior colleague with illustrating the financial and rating agency impact of alternative reinsurance structures, capital management plans and expansion strategies.

We will count on you to :

  • Analyze financial statements, assess business and industry risks, and evaluate business strategies.
  • Assist with developing analysis on a pro forma and forecasted basis to advise our clients on the financial and rating agency impact of decisions associated with reinsurance purchase, capital management and expansion plans.
  • Develop tools to optimize the analysis and dissemination of financial data
  • Contribute to the firm’s body of knowledge through active internal communication to keep abreast of changing risk and insurance market conditions.
  • Build and maintain client and market contacts, at appropriate levels, to execute effectively on client management.
  • Solving moderately complex problems by taking a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • Contribute to client retention through effective risk solutions and excellence in service.

What you need to have :

  • Bachelor’s degree, 5-7 years of relevant (re)insurance experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled in Excel and Microsoft Office

What makes you stand out :

  • Insurance credit and / or accounting knowledge
  • MBA and / or CFA
  • Proficiency in R, Python, Power BI

The applicable base salary range for this role is $114,700 to $210,400.The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements.

Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
