The position is responsible for ensuring all management and parent company financial reporting is prepared accurately and timely and in compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies as well as preparation of the Annual Operating Plan and related forecasts.
This position is also responsible for updating and maintaining accounting policies and procedures and enhancing processes to ensure accurate, insightful and timely reporting for our growing business.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including preparation and / or review of appropriate journal entries, reconciliations and monthly financial analysis.
- Review or prepare analysis and journal entries for complex transactions.
- Prepare annual plan and monthly / quarterly forecast and present to senior leadership
- Oversee accounting and reporting of domestic and foreign business units including multiple functional and transactional currencies.
- Interpret, analyze and communicate financial information, such as variance analysis, clearly and concisely.
- Assist with recurring parent company deliverables, such as monthly / quarterly financial and tax reporting.
- Oversee tax requirements for multiple tax jurisdictions.
- Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and are effective.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Oversee monthly external investor accounting and prepare / distribute detailed quarterly reports.
- Propose and implement improvements in accounting processes, controls, and reporting.
- Update and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
- Manage, motivate, and coach accounting staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting - CPA
- Minimum of 15 years of accounting experience - combined public and private experience preferred
- Previous management experience
- Experience with month-end close, financial / business analytics and financial planning
- Global accounting and operations experience, including foreign currency accounting
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Process-oriented with a passion for developing best practice
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Solid computer skills, including MS Office Suite, Excel proficient (VLookups and Pivot tables, etc.)
- Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics and Hyperion preferred
