Job Summary

Collects and processes blood specimens for testing in the laboratory. Maintains supply inventory in collection areas and phlebotomy trays.

Assists lab staff with non-testing essential functions.

Essential Functions

• Labels, processes and delivers specimens for testing.
• Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies.
• Assists with coordinating and conducting blood drives, including interviewing and screening donors.

Minimum Education

• High School Graduate Required
• Completion of a certified phlebotomy training program preferred
• Previous hospital experience preferred
• ASPT or ASCP certification preferred
• 1 month phlebotomy experience preferred.
