General Counsel Attorney - Dallas, Texas

We have partnered with a forward-thinking international manufacturer that recently went public and is committed to advancing sustainable energy solutions.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive General Counsel to join their team in North Dallas, Texas. In this important role, you will provide expert legal guidance on various corporate and industry-specific matters, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the company’s strategic objectives.

The ideal candidate will have over five years of legal experience with a strong background in corporate law. Experience in a publicly traded company is required for consideration.

Key Responsibilities :

• Legal Advisory : Provide counsel on a wide range of issues, including corporate governance, compliance, and commercial transactions.
• Contract Management : Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to safeguard the company’s interests.
• Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to federal, state, and international regulations.
• Risk Management : Identify potential legal risks, develop strategies to mitigate them, manage legal disputes, and collaborate with external counsel as needed.
• Corporate Governance : Advise on matters related to corporate governance, including board and shareholder meetings, and corporate filings, work closely with C-suite.
• Industry Insight : Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate closely with departments such as R&D, finance, and operations to provide legal support and achieve business objectives.

Qualifications :

• Experience : Attorney with 5-10 years of legal experience, preferably with experience in corporate law. Must have experience in a publicly traded company to be considered.
• Education : Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensing : Licensed to practice law in Texas
• Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with manufacturing or energy industry preferable
• Skills :
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven negotiation and contract management experience.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Salary Range : $140,000 - $200,000, depending on experience.
