Schools Operations Coordinator

Occupational Summary :

The Schools Operations Coordinator works with School directors and affiliated faculty to plan and execute programming that promotes career readiness and student engagement within and across the college's Schools and Centers.

Beloit College Schools and Centers serve as vital structures that help students connect their academic experiences to career pathways, community engagement, global education, and work opportunities. They support students from the moment they consider applying to Beloit through to graduation and into their post-college lives.

The five Schools- Business ; Environment & Sustainability ; Global & Public Service ; Health Sciences ; and Media & the Arts -anchor career-oriented pathways that are designed to be flexible, interdisciplinary, and inclusive.

Cutting across all five schools are four centers : CELEB (The Center for Entrepreneurship in Liberal Education at Beloit), the Global Experience Office , Community Connections , and the Center for Integrative Learning. These centers create opportunities for experiential learning, internships, study abroad, entrepreneurship, and cross-disciplinary exploration.

The Schools Operations Coordinator will play a key role in supporting this work. The person in this role will partner closely with the Provost's office, School and Center directors, affiliated faculty, and other offices across campus to plan and implement programming that promotes student success, community-based learning, and career development. The Schools Operations Coordinator will also help build high school applicant pipelines, support alumni outreach, mentor students, and help maintain relationships with community partners. This is a chance to help shape Beloit's distinctive approach to liberal arts education.

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities

In support of the School directors, the coordinator

• Helps coordinate and integrate activities across schools and centers.
• Assists with budgeting and accounting.
• Supervises student workers.
• Works in collaboration with Impact Beloit and community partners to develop, maintain, and coordinate School-specific fellowships, internships, and other community-based learning opportunities.
• In coordination with Admissions, builds and sustains relationships with area high schools to aid in recruitment to the college's Schools.
• In coordination with Alumni Relations, helps develop and maintain strong alumni networks and sponsor related events.
