Job Description :
As a Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and services to clients, helping them navigate various challenges and improving their overall well-being.
Responsibilities :
- Assist clients in receiving services both by telephone and in person.
- Engage clients in beneficial activities to promote their well-being.
- Assess clients and gather relevant information to inform support plans.
- Provide information and emotional support to clients and their families.
- Contact and make referrals to other agencies and services as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on client interactions and progress.
- Participate in training, supervision, and meetings to enhance service delivery.
- Monitor for signs of child abuse and report appropriately.
- Provide crisis intervention to clients in distress.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Experience working with clients affected by issues such as neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health, and parental substance abuse.
- Excellent listening skills, with the ability to give full attention to clients, understand their points, and ask relevant questions.
- Awareness of others' reactions and an understanding of their behaviors.
- Ability to evaluate the costs and benefits of potential social service and healthcare actions and choose the most appropriate options.
- Comfortable using a computer for various tasks, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Capacity to remain calm and empathetic when clients are upset.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
- Ability to develop treatment plans tailored to client needs.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
- Valid driver's license.
