Position : Pastor of Worship and Creative Arts

Hours : hrs / week

Supervisor : Executive Pastor

Position Description :

The Pastor of Worship and Creative Arts will lead and oversee all aspects of the weekly worship services at Eagles View Church, including music, tech, creative storytelling, and communications.

This position is responsible for creating engaging, Spirit-filled worship experiences and ensuring that all creative elements effectively communicate the church's message and vision.

The Pastor of Worship and Creative Arts will also shepherd and lead a large group of volunteers within the worship and creative arts ministry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the weekly worship services, encompassing music, lighting, propresenter, creative speaking / storytelling, and communication.
• Plan and lead weekly worship services, selecting songs, arranging music, and coordinating with the pastor on sermon themes.
• Lead weekly band and choir rehearsals.
• Recruit, train, and mentor a large team of volunteers, including musicians, vocalists, technical staff, and creative arts volunteers to facilitate high-quality worship experiences.
• Collaborate with the pastoral staff to create cohesive and impactful services incorporating creative elements such as drama, video, and visual arts.
• Oversee the development and production of creative content, including videos, graphics, and print materials, to support the church's mission and vision.
• Manage the Worship and Creative Arts budget and ensure responsible stewardship of resources.
• Stay current with trends and best practices in the worship and creative arts industry, and implement new ideas as appropriate.
• Provide pastoral care, spiritual leadership, and shepherding to the large group of volunteers within the Worship and Creative Arts ministry.
• Supervise and provide guidance to the Associate Worship Pastor, Associate Creative Arts Pastor, and Communications and Online Pastor.
• Lead a weekly life-group
• Any other needs that arise at the Executive Pastor’s request

Qualifications :

• Strong musical skills, including proficiency in leading worship vocally and instrumentally
• A good working knowledge of AVL systems.
• Proven leadership and team-building abilities, with experience shepherding and leading large groups of volunteers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in various creative software and tools (e.g., Planning Center, Multitracks, Logic Pro X, ProPresenter)
• Deep understanding of and commitment to the theology and values of Eagles View Church

Additional Information :

The Pastor of Worship and Creative Arts will oversee three full-time positions :

• Associate Worship Pastor : Responsible for assisting with worship leading, scheduling volunteers, training and discipling volunteers, working with the Production Arts Team, and leading the Youth Band.
• Associate Creative Arts Pastor : Responsible for leading a team of worship and tech volunteers, programming lights, maintaining worship equipment, editing and distributing Sunday messages, managing livestream equipment, and assisting with graphic design and video content.
• Communications and Online Pastor : Responsible for stewarding the brand of Eagles View Church, partnering with ministry leads to promote events and overall church strategy, overseeing social media, designing graphics packages, overseeing church-wide calendaring, leading video projects, and shepherding the online church community.

The Pastor of Worship and Creative Arts will work closely with these three positions to ensure a cohesive and impactful worship and creative arts ministry at Eagles View Church, focusing on creating engaging weekly worship services and shepherding a large group of dedicated volunteers.
