Job Duties : Extended Managing Director with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Provide financing solutions and investment products to the Firm’s clients and manage risk inherent in the products by trading .
Treasury securities, interest rate and foreign exchange derivatives and other OTC products. Create and maintain models and methods for deploying the Firm’s financing resources based on constraints such as customer demand, return on resource, jurisdiction, regulatory calculus, maturity, volatility, and credit.
Conduct analysis of . monetary, fiscal and regulatory policy in conjunction with macroeconomic and geopolitical developments to assess their impact on global liquidity and funding markets by tracking economic data including, but not limited to, major releases such as Federal Reserve Open Market Committee meetings and minutes, labor market data, inflation releases, ISMs and PMIs, retail sales reports, and GDP releases, in addition to the Firm's own high frequency indicators tracking current activity.
Regularly communicate insights to clients requesting the Firm’s opinion in real time. Supervise and manage a team of traders making markets in US Treasury bills and coupons and providing financing via repurchase agreements (repo).
Job Requirements : Bachelor’s degree (. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, or related field and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or in a related Financial Manager role.
- Must have ten (10) years of experience with the following : analyzing market views and risk portfolios for short-dated rates financial products, using interest rate markets, macroeconomics, and monetary policy knowledge;
- creating and maintaining financial models and frameworks for deploying business capital, based on regulatory and client constraints;
- advanced knowledge of Federal Reserve, Securities Exchange Commission, Federal Deposit Insurance, and Basel Capital and Liquidity rules;
- developing presentations on funding markets, current macroeconomic and geopolitical events, and financial regulations for meetings with C-Suite executives, corporate boards of directors, or regulators;
- researching models and fund flows that drive the quantum and timing of various issuances of debt and their impact on the evolution of short-term interest rates, including Repo, Treasury bill, and Treasury coupon rates;
and producing content for clients, including trade ideas and perspectives on major market developments, and developing solutions for challenges, leveraging financial engineering, and product and market knowledge.
FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required.
Salary Range : The expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $400,000 - $500,000.
In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
