A leader in the food service packaging industry, is seeking a District Manager of Sales for their Eastern Division.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Prospecting and Sales Growth : Identify and pursue new accounts and opportunities within regional and corporate distribution channels.
Manage relationships with defined end-users and other customers.Continuously drive new and incremental sales to meet sales budgets.
Customer Management : Handle all aspects of pricing, bids, contracts, competitive awareness, and marketing promotions.
Provide customer sales support, including sample handling, tradeshows, forecasting, product training, and plant tours.Coordinate creative services for artwork, mock-ups, and customer approvals.
Resolve customer service issues, quality complaints, and logistical problems.Manage new customer onboarding, including W9s, credit approval, and adherence to company policies.
Internal Sales and Administrative Support : Submit Sales Support Action Forms (SSAFs) for new, changed, or updated customer information.
Utilize the company database (WCDB) for data mining to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.Maintain awareness of market and business intelligence, reporting competitor activities and pricing landscapes.
Manage expense reports and ensure responsible spending.Complete all necessary sales-related paperwork, including bid / contract forms, customer quotes, and weekly sales reports.
Support the Director of Sales with district management, product training, and show coverage.
Skills / Competencies :
- Recent experience in foodservice sales, preferably with disposables.
- Proven ability to sell effectively across multiple channels and drive new business.
- Commitment to continuous improvement in technical skills, internal systems, and market knowledge.
