The University of Toledo seeks qualified applicants for the position of assistant director of athletic communications. This position will serve as the primary media contact for women’s volleyball, softball and other sports to be determined.
The position will also assist with game-day operations for football and basketball. The assistant director has a supervisory role for student employees and interns, both in the office and at game events.
The assistant director will be part of a dynamic communications team that will work collaboratively with marketing and creative services offices to utilize innovative strategies that will tell the story of our student-athletes, coaches and teams.
Minimum of two years experience in the athletic communications field or equivalent is required.
High level of written and verbal proficiency is required.
High level of social media expertise is required.
Expertise required in desktop publishing (InDesign, Photoshop), statistical programs (Genius Stats) and website editing programs.
