As a Communication Manager for tunnel and bridge projects, your role revolves around managing internal and external communications related to these infrastructure projects.
- Develop and implement communication strategies to engage with various stakeholders including government agencies, project teams, contractors, local communities, and the general public.
- Lead PR efforts to promote awareness and understanding of tunnel and bridge projects.
- Create press releases, media kits, and other materials to disseminate project-related information to the media.
- Develop and implement community outreach programs to inform residents and businesses about project timelines, impacts, and benefits.
- Organize public meetings, workshops, and forums to solicit feedback from the community and address concerns.
- Produce high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content for project websites, social media platforms, newsletters, and other communication channels.
- Create updates on project progress, safety information, educational materials, and FAQs to keep stakeholders informed.
- Facilitate communication within project teams to ensure that all stakeholders are informed about project developments, milestones, and challenges.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and requirements governing public communication and engagement for infrastructure projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, environmental specialists, and other stakeholders to integrate communication activities into overall project planning and execution.
Required
- A bachelor's degree in communications
- Proven experience in communications, public relations, or related fields, preferably with experience in infrastructure or construction projects.
- Experience managing communication initiatives for large-scale projects with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing communication strategies, including public relations campaigns, community outreach programs, and crisis communication plans.
- Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, stakeholder needs, and external factors that may impact communication strategies and tactics.
