Description

Responsibilities / Duties :

The first point of contact for Computer Support, Classroom Technology, Audio Visual, Telecom and additional Client Services.

Assist clients via email, phone and over the counter.

Log issues, take classroom equipment reservations, answer questions and solve basic problems.

Escalate more complex issues to next tier technicians.

Follow-up on cases needing more information or confirmation if an issue has been resolved.

Support / assist lab managers with weekly lab sweeps in various on-campus computer labs.

Qualifications :

Student technicians must have excellent verbal and written communication with strong basic computer skills.

Computer troubleshooting experience is highly desired.

Student technicians must be able to follow directions and adhere to department procedures.

Student technicians must be team-oriented and willing to provide excellent customer service.

Student technicians must be able to lift moderately heavy computer equipment such as monitors and printers.

Student technicians must be able to multi-task and exhibit professionalism in the workplace at all times.
