Austin Gastroenterology is a 40-year-old practice with more than 35 physicians and 30 advanced practice providers located in 17 locations throughout the greater Austin area.
We service areas in Austin, Kyle, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Bee Cave, Georgetown, and many more. Our physicians, their care teams, and the administrative staff at Austin Gastro are all committed to providing excellent patient care and a positive and challenging work environment.

We are currently looking to add a full-time Medical Assistant Lead. Primary location can be at our Hero Way or Wyoming Springs locations.
Additional travel to sister locations may rarely be required depending on coverage needs.

Main Job Functions
- Lead MA's over multiple locations.
- Ensure the MA team has support and guidance in their duties
- Conduct discussions on performance
- Focus on continued team training and improvement
- Rooms and triage patients
- Prepares physician and mid-level charts prior to patient office visit
- Prepares patients for examinations
- Measures and records vital signs
- Records patient interview and history
- Maintain stock of medical supplies in exam rooms
- Process prescription refill requests
- Demonstrates teamwork in the delivery of patient care

Qualifications
- Education : High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience : Minimum one year of recent leadership experience working in a medical facility. Experience working in a Gastroenterology practice is preferred.
- Performance Requirements :
- Knowledge of health care field and EMR systems.
- Skill in performing medical assistance tasks appropriately.
- Skill in written and verbal communications.
- Skill in understanding patient education needs by effectively sharing information with patients and families.
- Ability to learn and retain information regarding patient care practices and procedures.
- Ability to project a pleasant and professional image.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and complete delegated tasks.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others.

Schedule
Monday- Friday 8am- 5pm, day shift, onsite.
