We're backed by top investors including 8VC, Floodgate, Y Combinator, DNX Ventures, Global Founders Capital, Justin Kan, Eric Ries, and more.

We value diversity in backgrounds and in experiences. We need people from all backgrounds and walks of life to help build the future of audit and advisory.

Fieldguide’s team is inclusive, driven, humble and supportive. We are deliberate and self-reflective about the kind of team and culture that we are building, seeking teammates that are not only strong in their own aptitudes but care deeply about supporting each other's growth.

About the role

We're a Series A-stage company that is growing quickly. We’re looking for our first machine learning engineer to join our team.

You’ll have the opportunity to be a tech lead for our machine learning efforts, help us hire future ML engineers, and have a great deal of autonomy in building our ML organization from the ground up.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying machine learning models that can effectively process and analyze complex datasets.

Most importantly, you will work on improving our data flywheel, which will help to supercharge the performance of our models and unlock even more value for our customers.

You’ll also collaborate closely with platform, data, and product engineers, product managers, and data scientists to productionalize solutions and products that are powered by ML and ensure they’re loved by our customers.

The following should describe you

  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, deploying machine learning solutions, ideally in B2B SaaS products
  • Exceptional foundational coding skills in Python or a similar language
  • Experience building scalable processes for extracting, preparing, and labeling large structured and unstructured data sets
  • Experience with ML pipelines and deploying ML services to production
  • Experience with NLP, deep learning, and other common ML algorithms and techniques (named-entity recognition, part-of-speech tagging, OCR, clustering, prediction, etc.)
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, Jax, spaCy, scikit-learn, etc.)
  • Experience with data engineering and data processing pipelines (Kubernetes and deploying infrastructure on AWS is a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and ideas to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies, and the ability to manage and coordinate the work of a team of data scientists and engineers.
