Job Summary :
The Human Resource Generalist will perform daily Human Resource (HR) department functions as well as provide services to support effective and efficient operations of the company's human resource department.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Monitors time and attendance for all employees.
- Monitors employee payroll deductions to ensure accuracy.
- May assist with payroll duties as needed.
- Maintains accurate records of job openings and actively manages applicant flow through the company's applicant tracking system.
- Conducts background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Coordinate onboarding and conducts new hire orientation.
- Performs occupational health and safety tasks.
- Responsible for tracking leaves of absences such as FMLA, PFL, disability, etc.
- Conducts regular review of bills pertaining to the HR department and reconciles benefit deductions to invoices.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Processes required paperwork for employee changes and other related employment matters.
- Prepares various human resource reports.
- Acts as a liaison between the company and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, 401(k) providers, etc.
- Collaborate with the Sr. HR Manager to carry out various human resource programs and initiatives.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, holiday parties, and other department or company-wide events.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
refers more complex questions to Sr. HR Manager.
- Ensures compliance with mandated reporting and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications / Skills :
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in human resources.
- Minimum 2 years' experience administering benefits to include researching, analyzing, and administering healthcare plans.
- Extensive knowledge of the leave requirements and other legal protections afforded by the FMLA, NY PFL, ADA, and other applicable laws required.
- Minimum 2 years' recruiting experience.
- Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Additional Information :
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Background checks required.
- $50,000.00-$64,000.00 annual salary DOE.

- This position is located in Depew, NY. Relocation assistance is not available.
