Amazon is seeking dedicated, multitasking, and customer obsessed individual to support 2-3 Directors across the Database Services team within the Utility Computing org at AWS.
This role requires superior attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple critical requests.
A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is important, as is a good sense of humor.
The candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the total picture.
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry.
As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
Key job responsibilities
- Proactively coordinate and engage with leadership in planning and organizing events, activities and calendars
- Management of multiple complex calendars and scheduling requirements
- Acting as a liaison for direct reports
- Driving key team activities (such as staff meeting agendas, all-hands meetings, supply ordering)
- Tracking and helping drive completion of key deliverables and following up on outstanding items
- Travel coordination for executives
- Participating in planning of events
- Having fun at work and helping others do the same
- This position will work with other assistants throughout the Database Services and across the rest of the company

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of senior level leadership support, or 3+ years of Amazon experience
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

- Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company
- Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency
