KeyResponsibilities :
- Team Leadership : Manage and mentor a group of engineers and designers overseeingprojectspecific engineeringactivities.
- ResourceAllocation : Accountable for resource allocation riskassessment and project deadlines for technicaldeliverables.
- TechnicalOversight : Review and approve Engineering ChangeOrders (ECOs) drawing packages BOMs math data and other technicaldocumentation.
- ProjectManagement : Ensure the timely completion of largeprojects and customengineered solutions coordinating with sales andproject managementteams.
- SpecificationReview : Lead technical reviews of specifications forquotations and large contract riskassessments.
- Custom SolutionsDevelopment : Oversee all activities related to largeproject customengineered solutions including designing modelingprototyping evaluation andtesting.
- DesignStandards : Develop design standards for transitsystems and components supporting research and developmentactivities.
- KPIMonitoring : Monitor and manage department KeyPerformance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure teamsuccess.
- CorrectiveActions : Review Corrective Action Reports (CARs) andsupport root cause analysis to resolveissues.
- OnSiteInspections : Travel nationally and internationallyto perform onsite inspections and support commissioningactivities.
Qualifications :
- Education : Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field;equivalent education and experienceconsidered.
- Experience : 37 years of experience managing leading and coaching a technicalteam.
- Licensing : Licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer (PE) in Nebraska with theability to obtain reciprocity in otherstates.
- TechnicalSkills : Experience with technical reviews designrisk assessments and regulatory codes (UL CSA NECNFPA).
- SoftwareProficiency : Proficient in 3D modelingsoftware.
- Communication : Strong written and oral communicationskills.
- AnalyticalThinking : Critical thinking and processorientedmindset for continuousimprovement.
- Travel : Willing and able to travel nationally and internationally(10%).
