Our client has an immediate need for a Distribution Management System Analyst, who is responsible for ensuring the DMS model import process is completed in a timely manner
Requirements :
- Four-year Bachelor of Science degree
- 3 to 5 years’ utility experience
- Experience launching Distribution Management Systems (DMS) is a plus
- Experience with ESRI GIS
- Experience with the ESRI Utility Network is a plus
- Experience with the OSI Electra OMS and / or Spectra DMS platform is a plus
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the review, load, and maintenance of the OMS / DMS model
- Perform change set review for eMap Model imports to understand what is currently in the model, the changes that are being imported, and the impact to the production model
- Perform periodic eMap model imports into lower-level environments to allow for testing of patches and configurations and Operator training
- Work with the Operations Center to ensure appropriate timing and validity of circuit changes
- Produces abnormal circuit reports and communicates long term abnormal circuits to the GIS Team
- Works with the ODMS & GIS team to validate and correct any incorrect premise to transformer relationships and other issues discovered within the GIS data
- Participate in DMS & DERMS project activities to understand the model dependencies, the additional data needed for these applications, and the additional functionality that they provide
- Work closely with the IT OMS support to ensure the ELT process is performant and assist in troubleshooting where necessary
- Coordination with SCADA team to ensure that eMap model stays in sync (per defined process) with SCADA model and corresponding SCADA displays
- Participate in Patch & regression testing of the Maestro and eMap products when new versions of OMS, DMS, GIS and other supporting applications are applied
- Support the future substation model build and maintenance in the DMS model
- Triage Import issues with the support of the vendor
