HDL is looking for a Civil Engineer to join our team in Anchorage, Palmer, or Kenai. As a Civil Engineer, you will collaborate with team members to design innovative solutions to some of the toughest challenges in Alaska and the world.
You will be supported by an experienced team of professionals with significant experience tackling tough challenges. You will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and mentor younger engineers.

Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
- State of Alaska Professional Engineering License, or ability to obtain within 6 months from hire
- Minimum of 5 years of civil engineering experience
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil3D design tools
- Dedication to making Alaska better
- Self-initiative to meet project deadlines
- Ability to work as a team player and interact with others
- Valid Driver's license and a clean driving record
What You'll Be Doing :
- Preparing feasibility studies, engineering reports, memos, and specifications
- Leading and working together with engineers, engineering assistants, technical staff, subconsultants, and contractors to complete projects on schedule and within budget
- Participating in teams involved with project delivery throughout all phases of project execution, from conceptual engineering through construction closeout and operations.
- Proactively and expertly communicating with co-workers, clients, contractors, regulators, and the public
- Acting as a mentor to other staff and encouraging careers of interns, engineering assistants, and other engineers
- Demonstrating a commitment to client satisfaction
