IMEG is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Project Surveyor 1 in our Greenwood Village office.

As a Civil Engineering Graduate - Designer 2, you will be responsible for providing production surveying duties, applying

diversified knowledge of principles and practices in areas of land surveying related fields. As aProject Surveyor 1 you will be providing surveying assistance under leadership from a Senior SurveyCoordinator or Senior Land Surveyor.

The Project Surveyor will also be responsible for calculationsand surveying judgment based on surveying experience, documented practices, systems, and exampleswhich will be reviewed by a Senior Survey Coordinator or Senior Land Surveyor.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Perform complex survey duties associated with construction stakeout and boundary, topographic,and as built surveys
  • Research historic maps, land records, previous surveys, and land title reports
  • Complete boundary reductions and mapping / topographic field reductions in CAD / surveysoftware
  • Download, maintain, and verify accuracy of project survey data and manage survey database;Review survey production and final products, processed data collection, and field notes for qualitycontrol.
  • Proficiency with survey computations, staking / control exhibits, and survey crew instructions forconstruction staking and field survey projects
  • Knowledge for the operation and assistance of operation of GPS equipment, total stations,levels, data collectors and other survey equipment
  • Lead CAD Techs in preparing plans and plats describing in detail the surveys performed
  • Maintain professional and productive working relationships with all clients andcoworkers
  • Mentor and assist in training junior staff members
  • Operate a company vehicle and observe safety and security procedures

Required Skills / Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of land surveying operations, computations, principles and practices
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering plans and construction documents
  • Knowledge and ability to deal with public and governmental agencies, manage field crews, andschedule equipment and supplies
  • Proficient in on-site office operation, office workflow processes and problem-solvingtechniques
  • Advanced understanding of survey operations and identification of potential problems
  • Proficient with AutoCAD C3D, survey, GPS, MS Office software
  • Problem solving techniques
  • Possesses oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, officials, contractors, coworkers andprofessionally represent IMEG
  • Valid driver's license with ability to be insured by IMEG carrier; must consent to a MotorVehicle Record (MVR) background check
  • Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word, Excel, andOutlook
  • Ability to travel with occasional overnight stays

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or Associates Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalentrequired
  • Land Surveyor (LS) License required
  • 4 years of experience minimum required in the Surveying and Construction Industry

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25pounds
  • Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and graspor pull
  • Will have limited exposure to outside weather conditions and loud noises
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship*

Salary Range : $68,000 - $87,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.

Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
