Design & Test Engineer - Spring 2025

The Role :
Our site in Bedford is seeking a / an Design & Test Engineer to join our team for the Spring 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.
Design & Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, modifying, and performing prototype and product testing in electrostatic chuck development process.
The engineer will provide expertise in test parameter selection, definition of robust specifications, and analysis of electrical requirements.
The engineer will support R&D team with new product design, testing, electrical and mechanical characterization, and data analysis.
In this role you will :
- Perform design and testing within engineering projects and participate in overall new product development process.
- Set up new product testing equipment. Develop test methodology. Perform testing and data analysis.
- Support R&D team with research on new process capability, equipment selection, process demonstration and testing for future products.
- Develop and update process documentation to record testing methodology, work instructions, quality procedures, and test specifications.
You're a good fit if you have :
- Experience in statistical data analysis.
- Additional experience with engineering software (e.g. ANSYS, COMSOL, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, etc.) is a plus.
- Product Development experience within academic courses or internship is a plus
Outstanding Candidates Will Have :
- General understanding of mechanical, electrical, and vacuum systems.
- Knowledge of statistical methods, e.g. DOE, FMEA, 8D.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capacity for self-directed work with minimal technical oversight.
- In-depth technical knowledge, hands on equipment experience, and creativity in problem solving is expected.
- Experience with semiconductor fabrication process and equipment is advantageous.
- Hard working and motivated.

- Any related major : Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science
- Graduation year : 2021 or earlier
