Will assist with the education and training for residents and medical students assigned to the clinic. Assist with outreach clinics and education programs as developed for the practice.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerforms all medical assessments according to Kansas State law and in conjunction with policies of the facility.
Performs physical exams with detailed histories.Provides emergency medical care when necessary.Evaluates patients and prescribes treatments established by written protocols, for early treatment of HIV-related diseased and general medical problems.
Performs medical evaluations for disorders requiring medications.Review X-Ray, laboratory, pathology, and hospital reports and case studies.
Provides structured evaluations and follow-ups.Reviews cases with supervising physician on a regular basis.Communicates clearly either written or orally.
Completes written and dictated documentation of patient encounters.Develops and maintains effective working relationships with associates, peers and patients.
Attends applicable educational meetings.Maintains knowledge of and adheres to all standards for Universal Precautions for blood and body fluid.
Understands and follows all HIPAA guidelines and procedures.APP shall complete all billing and medical records documentation within thirty (30) business days of the patient visit or less time if required by an insurance company, other payor of services, or the hospital or institution at which APP is performing services.
