Nuclear Medicine Technologist CTNM

Job Overview : We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials.

Your expertise will contribute significantly to the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients, making a profound impact on their health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Patient Care : Prepare and position patients for nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Imaging Procedures : Perform a range of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, including PET, SPECT, and other specialized scans, following established protocols and safety standards.
  • Radiopharmaceuticals : Prepare, administer, and monitor radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring proper dosage and handling in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Equipment Operation : Operate and maintain sophisticated imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting any technical issues.
  • Data Analysis : Analyze imaging results, prepare detailed reports, and collaborate with physicians to interpret findings and determine the best course of action.
  • Compliance : Adhere to all safety and regulatory standards, including radiation safety protocols, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Patient Education : Educate patients and their families about procedures, answering any questions and providing reassurance to alleviate concerns.

Qualifications :

  • Certification : Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT-N) required.
  • Education : Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field.
  • Experience : Prior experience in a hospital setting preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply.
  • Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
