Summary
The Sr. Tax Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of the domestic tax return for the Company and its subsidiaries.
The Sr. Tax Accountant will assist in the coordination, preparation, and filing of the Company’s consolidated federal income tax return, will assist in the preparation of the Company’s multi-state income tax returns and will assist in the preparation of the Company’s quarterly US GAAP tax provision process.
The Sr. Tax Accountant will also manage the multi-state annual report preparation and filing process.
Flexible Work Arrangement : This role is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement with 3-days in the Atlanta office and 2-days working from home each week.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare complex US tax returns and research issues as they arise.
- Prepare complex tax provision calculations.
- Prepare monthly cash tax forecast with assistance from business units.
- Process quarterly federal and state tax payments.
- Train and mentor staff assigned to the annual report filing function.
- Review tax information supplied by business units. As necessary, will meet or speak with business unit personnel with questions.
- Recognize, anticipate, and resolves tax issues; make recommendations that will produce efficiency or ways to avoid issues.
- Assist in the federal and state audit process.
- Assist in various administrative items such as tax department budgeting, invoice payment, and tax library updates.
Education, Specialized Knowledge & Required Skills
Required :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar field of study
- 5+ years of tax experience with 2+ years of mid-level compliance work on complex consolidated tax returns
- Working knowledge of Corptax tax return software.
- Working knowledge of OneSource tax provision software.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Working knowledge of tax code, tax regulations.
- Excellent human relations, communication (oral and written) skills.
Preferred :
- Working knowledge of OneStream consolidation software.
- Alteryx, Power BI or Tableau experience.
