Technical Project Manager (Hybrid Opportunity)

MindComputing is currently seeking a Project Manager to lead Security Policies and Processes for a large federal project with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

This role requires a combination of technical skills and strong management capabilities with a focus on building strong partnerships with customers, key management, and stakeholders.

As a Project Manager, you'll drive the project's vision by defining system scope and objectives, diving deep into technical data analysis, and ensuring that every customer requirement is not only met but exceeded

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities :

• Lead and manage projects involving security policies and processes, ensuring alignment with the VA's mission to protect Veterans, the VA workforce, and all who interact with the VA.
• Define system scope and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders to meet technical needs, ensuring that all communication systems and equipment meet project requirements.
• Analyze technical data to provide insights that drive the project's execution and support decision-making processes.
• Offer expert guidance to VA management and stakeholders on project activities and system operations, focusing on strategic improvements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, gathering requirements, addressing inquiries, and maintaining clear communication.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure all project activities meet specified standards, documenting findings and providing training on quality assurance processes as needed.
• Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure project success.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree (BA / BS) in a relevant field.
• 8-10 years of extensive understanding of emergency management operations, preparedness strategies, and familiarity with security and law enforcement practices.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to budget and time constraints.
• Experience in system lifecycle management and conducting quality assurance reviews.
• Familiarity with VA or similar federal project requirements to deliver a seamless customer experience.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Additional Qualifications :

• Experience working with federal agencies, particularly the VA or defense-related projects, is a plus.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance.
