Primary Responsibilities : -Design, implement, manage, and support client projects, seeing them through completion. Projects may include : -WAN / LAN, SD-WAN, VLANs, firewalls, switches, WAPs, VPNs, and other network appliances.
- Hosted and cloud solutions for customers using appropriate technologies that meet their requirements.-New client onboarding, deployments, or migrations of servers and networks.
- Disaster recovery solutions.-Provide advanced support services for : -Microsoft related technologies - Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 (Azure, Exchange, Teams, Teams Phone, SharePoint), SQL, etc.
- Virtualization technologies - VMware, Citrix, and Microsoft Hyper-V.-Microsoft 365 administration with domain synchronization, Azure deployment, and migrations.
- Conduct IT Risk assessments.-Adhere to - and when possible, contribute new thinking to - Omni policies, procedures, and best practices.
Examples include the documentation of maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure, the thorough completion of check lists for installation of hardware and software, accurately recording of time, etc.
- Diagnose and resolve both emergency and chronic problems related to availability, security, performance, connectivity, and overall functionality.
- Deliver first class service to clients. This includes frequent professional updates until issues have been resolved and / or projects are deemed complete.
- Support business development efforts including the completion of assessments, producing bill of materials, developing detailed statements of work, etc.
- Mentor fellow technicians with Omni-supported technical solutions.-Keep manager and relevant team members informed on client issues, updates, and observations to ensure the highest quality of care and service.
Other tasks and duties as assigned.Position Qualifications : -Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, management information sciences, or related technical field.
- 10+ years of professional experience in a technology support and engineering role with the ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Certifications from commonly recognized vendors such as Microsoft, Sophos, Cisco, Barracuda, etc.-Advanced knowledge of IT systems including servers, desktops, scripting, and firewalls, with experience configuring switches, routers, and networking devices.
- Experience in server specifications, installations, configurations, and virtualizations.-Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, including the ability to deal with clients and colleagues of all backgrounds in a fast-paced, high-performance work environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain technical information and ideas in user- friendly language to clients.
- Demonstrated success in providing support and achieving problem resolution with systems, software, and hardware- some of which may be unfamiliar - and having an appreciation and understanding of how changes can impact systems, businesses, and users.
