HVAC Engineer

Performs highly skilled maintenance and repair work requiring theoretical and practical knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning.
Primary Duties :
- Performs repairs and maintenance on refrigeration and air conditioning equipment, including ice machines, refrigerators, freezers, water coolers, and air conditioning equipment.
- Detects malfunctioning equipment and makes quality improvement or cost containment recommendations and sees through approval and implementation stages.
- Works on the snow removal team; plowing, shoveling, and salting of walkways and driveways.
- Consistently displays professionalism in dealings with customers, staff, and physicians. Promptly answers customer and staff requests pleasantly and appropriately.
- Participates with supervisors in identifying learning needs and engages in training and development activities.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Equivalent work experience in lieu of education may be considered.
- Completion of trade school and / or apprenticeship program required.
- 3-4 years related experience required.
- CFC certification required.
- HVACR (MD) preferred.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements including all State, Federal and JCAHO regulations.
This position has a hiring range of $23.19 - $38.49.
