Description / Position Summary

Position Location : Eugene, OR

Work involves containment and removal of hazardous materials from the environment under varied site conditions. Worksite activities shall include safe work practices, compliance with approved procedures and processes and may include hazardous materials handling, decontamination, working around and with heavy equipment, demolition, soil excavation, general remediation skills and site restoration.

It is anticipated that these open positions will be filled to perform project site operations near Eugene, OR and expected to be 4 months to a year in duration.

Additional opportunities include being added to EQM's Specialized Craft Labor Crews performing projects across the West Coast, Alaska, Pacific Islands, Great Lakes Region and other Emergency or Rapid Response Projects nationally.

Skills and Experience :

• Perform physical labor on job sites handling hazardous materials in bulk, drums, and small containers;
• Operation of power tools and small equipment
• Work requires the ability to work overtime and timely response to emergency situations;
• Must be capable of physical manual labor using shovels, rakes, brooms and other small hand tools;
• Requires working outdoors in the weather elements under adverse conditions at times;
• The company will provide personal protective equipment;
• 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER certificate and 8-hour refresher preferred, but not required;
• Recommended but not required completion of a 10 OSHA Construction Safety course and be able to present a certificate of compliance;
• Must have a High School diploma / GED minimum.
• Must be a US Citizen or be permitted to work in the US.
• Must complete and pass a Baseline Physical and Federal Drug Screening.
