Location / Hours
We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant to support Nephrology in our Newburyport office. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 8 : 30am to 5 : 00pm.
General Overview
Our Medical Assistants play an integral part in the operations of our community-based physician practices. Dedicated to clinical support, the Medical Assistant ensures a smooth patient flow within the practice and assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of physician or advanced practitioner.

Qualifications
Required :
- Completion of a formal medical assistant training program
- Experience working as a medical assistant in a community practice setting preferred
- Must be nationally certified as a medical assistant or must obtain national certification within 6 months from date of hire.
- Experience working with an EMR system required.
- Experience working on a computer required.
Preferred :
- Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams including staff at all levels of the organization
- Ability to successfully negotiate and collaborate with others of different skill sets, backgrounds an levels within and external to the organization
- Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize work and respond to changing needs
- Possess the ability to learn quickly
- Excellent computer skills
