Leidos has an immediate opening for a Mid-Level Software Developer on the Systems Engineering & Integration Contract (SEIC), supporting Air Force & Navy Mission Planning.
SEIC software developers create Mission Planning utilities, integrate capabilities within DevOps pipelines, and train other software developers.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to mentor junior developers on cutting edge technologies and solutions for Mission Planning needs.
This position will be part of a team of engineers working in a DevSecOps environment, enabling rapid software development solutions while providing guidance on how to improve Air Force & Navy Mission Planning software.
Primary Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be energetic, organized, eager to learn and comfortable working & speaking in a team environment and placing a high value on collaboration and team success.
Core responsibilities will include :
- Software solution integration & prototyping in a DevSecOps environment
- Creating & maintaining software-development documentation, wikis & training materials for other developers to leverage in SW development
- Developing software with Java and .Net C# on microservices-based architectures and APIs
- Utilizing front-end web development tools for development and integration
- Mentoring less-experienced software developers on developing and integrating new capability within an Azure cloud-based DoD Mission Planning pipeline
- Providing Help-desk escalation software developer support
Basic Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship (no dual citizenship) & at least a DoD Secret Level Security Clearance
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or a closely related field
- 4+ years of software development experience working on microservices-based architectures and Application Programming Interface (API) design
- 2+ years of working in a DevSecOps environment & employing DevSecOps best practices
- Experience with frontend web-application technologies (i.e., Node, NPM, React, Redux)
- Experience training junior software developers on DevOps principles & software integration techniques
- Ability to work in both Linux & Windows Operating Systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of software version control tools such as GIT
- Experience with Docker containers (Window and Linux)
- Experience employing Kubernetes for containerized applications
- Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
- Experience working in a SAFe Agile Development environment
- Experience with Azure DevOps / Atlassian Tool Suite

Pay Range : Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
