• We have an opening for a full-time HUMAN MILK / FORMULA SPECIALIST position.
• Location : Cleveland Clinic- 9500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44195. Note : online applications accepted only.
• Schedule : Shifts will vary. Includes some evening / weekend / holiday shifts. More details upon interview. Open availability from 7am-7pm
• Requirement : Required Hospital experience preferred. Adult and pediatric formulas.
• Pay Range : $17.00 to $19.00
• Upon completion of technican course, rate will increase to $22 an hour

Job Summary

Summary : Under the direction of the Patient Services Manager and / or Clinical Nutrition Manager, responsible for BM and Formula management, data collection, and diet office functions, as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Must have math and computer skills.
• Able to follow recipes and identify correct recipes per reports.
• Prepares and distributes supplements, tube feedings, and enteral formula in an accurate and timely manner.
• Responsible for the preparation, distribution, inventory and management of human / donor milk and / or infant formula.
• Adheres to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient's rights policies.
• Complies with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state and TJC.
• Completes all required documentation, reports and logs.
• Follows facility and department infection-control policies and procedures.
• Participates in facility-wide and department Performance Improvement Program and on Performance Improvement teams to improve processes and patient care.
• Must pass competencies and Breast Milk / Infant Formula Technician Course.
• Applicants also have to be able to stand for long periods of time, mixing breast milk or formulas.
• Must have good attention to detail.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
