The Assistant Account Executive (AAE) is an entry-level position with a dual focus supporting the Public Relations team with day-to-day administrative tasks while learning and supporting the planning, development and execution of public relations activities.

The AAE is a student of agency process, working under the direction of an Account Supervisor or Account Director and other senior PR team members, learning as much as possible through each interaction and applying their learnings to subsequent assignments.

The AAE is a creative, solutions-oriented, go-getter with excellent written and oral communication skills who juggles multiple projects.

They are a steward of the news and culture, having a strong desire to develop their national media and influencer relation skills and thrive in a fast, team-based agency culture.

They are driven, detail-oriented, curious, and hungry to do great work, collaborating with other offices and disciplines as needed.

Responsibilities :

  • Maintain appropriate client contact, often supporting multiple clients simultaneously
  • Attend, participate and manage note taking in client meetings
  • Prepare client status documents, call reports and action items
  • Maintain client status trackers, media reports, presentations, etc.
  • Monitor and share client industry news
  • Perform media relations activities including :
  • Media list development
  • Press material development and distribution
  • Develop and maintain press contacts
  • Support influencer and social media programming
  • Event support where appropriate
  • Ideate for client plans and programs
  • Participate in and help with new business presentations when called upon
  • Coordinate and process client billing

Qualifications :

  • Experience : Previous successful PR experience in a relevant creative industry (internship or coursework) or a strong desire to begin a career in PR
  • Soft Skills : Strong storytelling and administrative skills to consistently deliver quality work to the team and clientsStrong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills Ability to think creativelyAgile high performer who can adapt to new conditions, assignments and deadlines Exceptional interpersonal and communication skillsStrong writing skills
  • The salary range for this position is $45-$55K. Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current / former employees in the subject position;
  • market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees);
