Job Description and Duties

  • The incumbent serves as Finance's primary contact with one or more departments; develops expert fiscal and program knowledge in assigned area;
  • identifies policy and program issues on which program analysis projects should be initiated; works with the department(s) to which assigned in preparation of the Governor's Budget;
  • consults with line program managers regarding program; advises the Director of Finance and Governor's Office on decisions relating to the program budget and proposed legislation;
  • has final authority to approve a wide range of financial documents that require Finance approval; carries out program analysis projects, using a variety of analytical techniques to evaluate program effectiveness and program alternatives;

serves as a resources person in assigned program area to assist other staff conducting program analyses; and monitors program implementation.

Special Requirements

Virtual interviews via web portals or phone may be offered as deemed appropriate and feasible.

Beginning April 2022, Finance implemented a hybrid telework model, which requires employees to work in the office a minimum of two days during the workweek.

We are scheduled to continue this hybrid telework policy until further notice.

Consolidated Benefits (CoBen)

Provides a benefit allowance, rather than specific contribution amounts for health, dental and vision benefits. You may receive additional taxable income each month, depending on the total cost of the benefit plans you choose.

Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA)

Continuation of health, dental, and vision insurance coverage as well as medical reimbursement account for employees and eligible dependents who involuntarily lose coverage.
