Job Description
Senior Accounting Manager Responsibilities :
- Develop and oversee the company's budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and provide insights to senior management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including variance analysis.
- Drive improvements in financial reporting processes and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with department heads to understand business trends and develop financial projections.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee general ledger activities and maintain chart of accounts.
- Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and address audit findings.
- Evaluate and optimize financial systems to support business needs.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline accounting procedures.
- Partner with other departments to support strategic initiatives and provide financial guidance.
- Collaborate with treasury and tax teams on cash flow management and tax planning.
- Assist in special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in financial planning, analysis, and corporate accounting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with ERP systems
