Data Governance Analyst

This is a remote position.

Paradigm is seeking a Data Governance Analyst tosupport our client a global leader in the legal industry. The DataGovernance Analyst works within the Data Governance team wherepassion for accurate and actionable data enables the company tomake smart decisions to mitigate risk and add process definingvalue.

The Data Governance Analyst will work closely with the DataGovernance Specialist to drive change in a datarich environmentthrough analyzing the integrity efficiency and availability ofdata.

You will work alongside data owners data stewards andbusiness stakeholders to provide support while creating andmaintaining policies standards and the implementation ofnoninvasive data governance.

Location : Fully remote Must be 50 miles fromeither New York NY or Kansas City KS or Beaverton OR or Phoenix AZ

As a Data Governance Analyst youwill :

• Support the implementation of noninvasivedata governance
• Develop relationships with a broad range ofbusiness partners to understand current and anticipated futurebusiness needs regarding data and datagovernance
• Develop data governance policy creationmanagement and analyzing potential impacts of policy choices underconsideration
• Serve as a liaison between functional andtechnology teams to ensure a common understanding about businessdata including who owns data what data means where to find datawhen data is available and how data can beused
• Coordinate and monitor data standardizationefforts and compliance identifying data / process gaps and workingwith business process owners and technology teams to resolvediscrepancies
• Research and development of new datagovernance best practices and implementationstrategies
• Provide data governance expertise inpotentially complex areas and dataintensiveprojects

Requirements

Our skill and experience wish list includes :

• Education : Bachelor s degree in ComputerScience Engineering Accounting or Finance strongly preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience indata management data engineering business intelligence data qualityand / or relatedfields
• Experience with Microsoft Purviewis critical to success in thisrole
• Intermediate level knowledge andexperience working with SQL Server and / or in the development ofTSQL code highly desired
• Knowledgeof datarelated government regulatory requirements privacy andsecurity best practices and data lifecycle / retention policies andpractices
• Knowledgeable andexperienced with data management processes reference data policycreation data stewardship and technologies
• Demonstrates the ability to translate business issues andrequirements into actionable plans and to deliver against thoseplans
• Excellent project planningorganizational and analytical skills is selfmotivated deliveringresults with minimal supervision
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with aproven track record of achieving consensus and buyin througheducation facilitation persuasion and leading byexample
