Position Overview :

A highly skilled, certified, and experienced Jaguar Land Rover Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles for a luxury import automotive dealer.

The role requires precision, expertise, and a dedication to delivering high-quality on-site services.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism and technical expertise in providing on-site assistance, repairs, and towing services to ensure our clients experience seamless, high-quality support during vehicle breakdowns or roadside emergencies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Respond to roadside assistance calls promptly, delivering courteous and efficient service, including minor repairs, battery replacements, tire changes, and fuel refills.
• Required to follow all safety protocols to ensure personal and client safety during roadside assistance, including the use of reflective gear, safety cones, and emergency lights.
• Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems using advanced diagnostic tools and technology.
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments on-site when possible, ensuring customer safety and minimizing the need for towing.
• Conduct inspections and test drives to ensure proper functionality and adherence to manufacturer standards.
• Provide detailed service reports and documentation of repair work, including parts used and labor hours.
• Safely prepare vehicles for towing when repairs cannot be completed on-site, following Jaguar Land Rover safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with the service team and advisors to ensure customer expectations are met.

Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, explaining repairs and providing timely updates.

• Stay up to date with the latest automotive technologies and participate in ongoing training and certification programs with brand manufacturer and ASE trainings.
• Maintain tools, roadside assistance vehicle, and safety equipment in good working condition, adhering to dealership safety protocols and industry regulations.
• Ensure repairs are completed within the allocated time and in accordance with dealership quality standards. Adhere to dealership and manufacturer safety guidelines, environmental practices, and state and federal regulations.
• Work in a team-oriented environment focused on productivity, safety, and reliability.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or GED; automotive training and / or vocational degree preferred.
• Current ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification or equivalent manufacturer certification for luxury import vehicles.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a Roadside Automotive Technician, preferably with luxury import brands and dealership.
• Proficiency with modern diagnostic tools and computerized systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of automotive repair processes.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions and service manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Adhere to Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles laws and company policies on driving company and customer vehicles.
• Team player with a positive attitude.

Physical Requirements :

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks including lying, standing, bending, and handling various tools for extended periods.
• Must have full dexterity and mobility to complete assigned tasks.
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when necessary.

Working Conditions :

• Full-time, may include evening, weekend, or holiday shifts to accommodate 24 / 7 roadside assistance coverage, with on-call rotations required to meet customer needs.
• Roadside Assistance Technicians primarily work outdoors, exposed to varying weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold.

The position requires readiness to respond to roadside calls day or night.

A fully equipped service vehicle will be provided for roadside work, with regular maintenance and inspection required.

Technicians must drive safely and maintain a clean driving record.
