Kitchen Assistant

Overview

Ebenezer offers a robust compensation package with excellent benefits and wages ranging from $16 to $22 per hour. Wage determinations will be based on similar experience

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team! This role is responsible for dining room meal service to our residents and maintaining supplies in the kitchenettes for our Senior Living Community.

• This nutrition services schedule includes;
• 34 hours every 2 weeks
• Hours Mon, Wed and Fri 7am-2 : 30pm
• Includes every other weekend & holiday rotation

Ebenezer Ridges Care Center is part of a full continuum of care campus including Transitional Care, Adult Day Programs, Child Care, Long Term Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living / Memory Care for seniors.

We are located across the street from Fairview Ridges Hospital, conveniently located at the I-35E and I-35W split in Burnsville, MN.

Responsibilities / Job Description

Responsible for cleanliness of some kitchen equipment, small wares, dry storage, coolers and freezers

• Responsible for putting food deliveries away. This includes rotating stock using the first in first out method.
• Records food temperatures prior to each meal service.
• Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques
• Serves prepared meals to residents and ensures the dining area is clean and inviting
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and happiness with their meal service
• Ability to answer the phone and write down and verbally communicate the requests.
• Assists with events as needed

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Excellent customer service skills and proficiency, teamwork and positive demeanor required
• Desire to work with seniors
• Ability to interact compassionately and communicate effectively with residents and staff
• Prefer some work experience in a customer service setting, but not required
