Contract Pilot
- General InformationJob Title : Contract PilotJob Category : Contract
- Description
Other than some exceptions regarding full-time retainer positions, our pilots generally have no set minimums they must meet in order to fly with us.
Pilots working with us can fly as much or as little as they want. Clients are typically involved in selecting & approving pilots for their operation.
Once approved for a particular client, pilots will be oriented to anything specific that is required for that client. We will periodically ask pilots about their availability as client trips come up.
If a scheduling match is made, we will get the pilot assigned to a trip. Pilots are responsible for planning their own positioning and getting themselves to the aircraft and then back home or to their next destination.
The pilot will initially pay for their own travel, lodging, meals, and incidentals along the trip. Once the trip is complete, pilots will use JetPro’s TripTrac™ mobile app to submit their expense report for wages and expenses.
JetPro processes payroll on a weekly basis, so crew members are reimbursed quickly.
Requirements
Pilots must be typed captain qualified (135.297 or 14 CFR 61.58) and have substantial experience within the aircraft that they choose to fly for JetPro.
All pilots are also asked to sign a confidentiality agreement. Pilots must be eligible to work in the US, able to pass a criminal background check, have a current 1st class medical and must be type rated and current within their respective aircraft(s).
In addition, certain JetPro clients may have additional training or insurance requirements. These are administered on a case-by-case basis.
Specific insurance requirements may include a specified number of hours for turbine, multi-engine, time in type, time in type as PIC, etc.
Specific training requirements could include things such as international procedures, safety, customer service or other in-house training requirements for a specific flight department.
