Join Our Team as an Account Manager!

Are you passionate about sales ? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our sales function. As an Account Manager, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.

The Account Manager is responsible for communicating the benefits of S&C products to drive sales in the Great Lakes Region of the US, specifically with a dedicated Investor-Owned Utility (IOU) located in the Chicagoland area.

The Account Manager will help increase S&C's sales revenues as well as develop and maintain a strong customer relationship within their assigned IOU.

The successful candidate will have experience selling product solutions to the electrical power market or related technical sales.

They will enjoy a fast-paced competitive environment, where they identify large scale customer needs, emerging trends and effectively respond to opportunities.

This role reports to the Regional Vice President, Great Lakes Region and focuses on promoting S&C's products to a dedicated utility customer in the Chicagoland area.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Demonstrated proficiency selling technical products preferably in the power distribution market space.
  • Demonstrate experience assessing and meeting customer expectations and needs.
  • Must excel and enjoy at delivering customer and sales presentations, developing proposals and speaking in front of an audience of customers.
  • Ability to develop and maintain customer relationships necessary to effectively sell the S&C's products and services.
  • Ability to oversee a significant number of projects and initiatives at the same time due to the diverse customer needs.
  • Partner with inside sales support, product specialists, operations, and other key team members to support the needs of company and customer.
  • Develop the expertise to apply, specify, and support the company's products across our various customer classifications.

What you'll Need To Succeed :

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated sales experience, preferrable in the electric power industry or in Sales marketing service experience in technical sales.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of the application and operation of medium voltage electrical equipment
  • An energetic team player and driven self-starter, with a positive mindset and excellent work ethic.
  • Ability to operate with flexibility in a fast-paced environment to meet tight deadlines with resilience and intellectual flexibility.
  • Ability to travel at least40% required (primarily within assigned territory with some national travel throughout the year)
