Director of Revenue Cycle Operations

Our client, a premier healthcare network known for delivering top-tier services through treatment centers and telehealth, is seeking a Director of Revenue Cycle Operations.

This candidate reports to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Revenue Cycle and is responsible for overseeing and guiding the revenue cycle operations of the hospital.

This role emphasizes the use of AI and other advanced technologies to automate revenue cycle management (RCM) processes and fosters a continuous improvement mindset within the team.

Focus :

Select, develop, and evaluate team members to ensure operations comply with company policies and procedures. Provide strategic leadership for short- and long-term goals, using effective communication of the company’s mission and core values to implement positive change and organizational structure.

Lead operational efforts through subordinates to ensure the effective administration of business processes and services, achieving goals within the assigned business units Oversee revenue cycle operations to ensure successful management of receivables and efficient functioning of the revenue cycle.

Utilize AI and other advanced technologies to automate RCM processes where possible, driving efficiency and effectiveness.

Ensure that budgets and schedules meet company requirements, taking significant organizational responsibility for planning, staffing, budgeting, expense management, and implementing changes to current methods.

Maintain current knowledge of all applicable laws and regulations, ensuring operations comply with necessary requirements.

Develop and refine procedures within the assigned functional areas, providing recommendations for improvement as needed.

Foster a continuous improvement mindset within the team, encouraging innovative solutions and process enhancements. Provide appropriate training to the team to ensure maximum efficacy and efficiency in operations.

Collaborate with employees to establish clear and concise development plans, ensuring succession planning and the advancement of future leaders within the organization.

Offer leadership, guidance, and coaching to all direct reports to maintain an engaged and productive workforce, partnering with Human Resources on employee matters.

Provide technical guidance and assist with various projects as assigned. Ensure the physical demands and work environment characteristics are conducive to performing essential job functions, providing reasonable accommodations as necessary.

May directly supervise various levels of accounts receivable, billing, collections, and / or reimbursement staff.

Skill Set

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in revenue cycle management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven experience with AI and advanced technology implementation in RCM processes.

Strong leadership and team development skills. Excellent strategic planning and operational management abilities.

In-depth knowledge of revenue cycle processes, compliance regulations, and industry best practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and continuous improvement skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
