Position Type : Hybrid, 1 day per week onsite
Contract Length : 7 months
Position Overview :
The consultant will serve as a subject matter expert in monitoring tools and automation processes to enhance enterprise-wide monitoring and reporting, incident management, and workflow automation.
Key responsibilities include managing monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Azure Monitor), developing SOPs, and ensuring structured communication and documentation, alongside supporting both on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
Duties :
- Act as Technical SME for enterprise-wide systems and oversee key product / service implementations.
- Analyze and report data for business and operational dashboards.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve monitoring tools (e.g., System Center, SolarWinds, SightLine, SquaredUp).
- Develop and manage automations, including Azure Monitor resources and PowerShell API integrations.
- Document and standardize new and existing processes, workflows, and SOPs.
- Collaborate with change and incident managers to streamline incident and problem management.
- Ensure consistent, accessible communication for changes, incidents, and updates across departments.
- Use ServiceNow for change management and support policy / procedure alignment.
- Participate in change management and disaster recovery planning to maintain service continuity.
- Stay current with IT developments and perform emergency response duties as needed.
Required Skills :
- 8 years of experience with MS Windows Server administration / deployment
- 5 years of experience with SolarWinds administration / deployment
- 5 years of experience with Ansible administration / deployment
- 3 years of experience with Log Analytics in Azure
- 3 years of experience with Linux Server administration / deployment
- 5 years of PowerShell scripting experience
- 3 years of Incident Management experience
