Role Summary :
This Quality Engineer will focus on Supplier Quality. You will support in the development, implementation and running of quality control programs and procedures.
This position involves the translation of customer specifications and industry standards into product / process criteria.
You’ll also address the day-to-day issues with production quality within the manufacturing plant and supplier facilities.
Responsibilities & Requirements :
- Participate in external supplier quality testing and audits
- Coordinate with production in order to plan and execute inbound and production checks
- Monitor product portfolio KPIs and drive effective root cause corrective actions where appropriate to address gaps to agreed targets
- Maintain and analyze data to provide information or identify problems for management and stakeholders on the state of a process or product quality
- Support ISO 9001 Quality management system with internal auditing, documentation and other systems support.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) events
- Collaborate with the department or other company departments to clarify / resolve issues techniques related to QC activities.
- Active participant in material review board (MRB).
- Manage relations with customers or third party inspectors
- Work with other departments to address quality concerns.
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Experience / Skills :
- Experience in manufacturing quality department
- Experience with Supplier quality a big plus
- Drive quality improvements through data analysis
- Strong problem solving (8D, A3 or Six Sigma) skills
- Experience in engineering and utilization of Lean and Six Sigma tools and methodologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 3-5 years relevant experience
