Senior Clinical Instructor - Advanced Life Support
Job Description
Provides guidance to team members to organize the Hoch Center for Emergency Education program operations. Coordinates and instructs in educational initiatives.
Ensures Instructor coverage for scheduled classes.
Job Responsibility
- Provides guidance to team members to teach / facilitate sessions of complex programs and less complicated courses.
- Ensures the preparation of assessment materials, coordination of examinations and evaluation tools and scheduling of classes and faculty assignments.
- Ensures adequate inventory of training equipment and materials for classes.
- Develops customer-centered service improvements; designs the curriculum according to published instructor and student guides.
- Incorporates evidence-based research into educational plans and nursing practice.
- Conducts in the process to identify candidates to attend educational sessions and coordinates the scheduling of these sessions between participants, instructors, and facility leadership.
- Develops all educational materials necessary to stimulate participants and meet their individual and departmental needs.
- Evaluates instructors on an ongoing basis according to external standards; maintains policy updates and updates course material as appropriate.
- Monitors program to ensure that goals and objectives are being met.

Job Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, required.
- Paramedic experience, required.
- New York Paramedic Certification, required.
- American Heart Association Instructor, preferred.
