Description
Co-leads in developing a curriculum and learning experiences tailored to the Brandeis environment that focuses on racial and social justice, including antisemitism.
The RJE will engage in a process of continual learning and program / process improvement to offer the best-in-class equity educational experiences for all participants.
Education requirements and additional information :
Undergraduate Degree (master’s degree preferred) in a related field or work experience supporting DEI efforts in an educational institution (, multicultural education, sociology, psychology, critical race and / or gender studies, disability studies, African and African American or other ethnic studies, anthropology, public policy, etc.)
3+ years minimum work experience in education working with students or educators. Demonstrated understanding of, and support for, key precepts in DEI training, including critical race theory, feminism, queer theory, privilege, protected classes, micro-aggressions, antisemitism, etc.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a racially and culturally diverse teaching and learning environment.
Disposition : A non-negotiable and essential element of this role is the demonstrated empathetic disposition toward supporting marginalized and minoritized populations in their struggle for full and equitable access and opportunity in education and society.
