What is JetZero? Today’s aircraft contribute around 2.5% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars.

This is only going to increase : Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall.

This is why we’re hiring a Head of Electrical Systems. You will be responsible for leading the team responsible for Electrical Power (ATA 24), Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) (ATA 92) and Lighting (ATA 33) from a technical perspective.

What You'll Do Apply your design experience to lead the team designing the Electrical Systems for the airplane. Responsible for the Electrical System team performing parts definition, sourcing and development.

Support the JetZero Lab activities; this includes parts sourcing, installation and testing activities. Collaborate and review the requirements for Electrical Power, EWIS, and Lighting.

Support and review Electrical Systems test plans, design description documents, technical specifications, and SOWs. Collaborate with other aircraft system teams, engineering teams, supply chain, finance and product design teams.

Present technical data to engineering leadership for design reviews and change board processes. Helpful Traits You have a Startup Mindset We are a small team with big ambitions.

Experience Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited university. 10 years of experience in electrical power, EWIS, and lighting design for Part 25 aircraft.

5 years of experience managing and leading direct reports. Experience with Part 25 airplane development. Knowledge of FAA / EASA regulations.

Experience with software tools such as Siemens Teamcenter, Siemens NX, System Composer, Simulink, and Microsoft Project preferred.
