We are seeking a highly motivated research associate to join the Mass Spectrometry BioAnalytical and New Technology (MSBT) department whose work will support quantitative small molecule LC-MS / MS analysis and sample preparation.
Our client is looking for the following :
RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will involve cross-functional teamwork in a highly collaborative environment requiring independence in lab-based work, good communication skills, and the ability to multitask.
- Quantitative small molecule bioanalysis using LC-MS / MS from multiple sample preparation techniques (such as solid phase extraction and protein precipitation) across biological matrices
- Development of novel small molecule extraction assays as well as LC-MS / MS methods
- Routine maintenance, operation, and troubleshooting of LC-MS / MS systems
- Analysis and interpretation of data
- Contributes to reports and data presentations
With the following credentials :
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- BA / BS in relevant field with 2+ years relevant lab experience
- A high degree of independence in daily work and report writing is essential.
- Experience in small molecule quantitation from a range of sample preparation techniques.
- Experience with automation for small molecule analysis.
- Experience with LC-MS / MS systems
- Team player and solution-oriented, with strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Experience with Sciex, Agilent, Shimadzu Instrumentation a plus.
- Experience with antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) and ADC stability a plus.
- Proficiency with electronic data analysis and communication tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Prism) and / or electronic notebook systems.
