Summary :
Functions as a part of the surgical team to provide care in the intra-operative phase of the surgical or obstetrical procedure using knowledge of instrumentation and equipment to ensure the best possible outcome for each patient.
Responsibilities :
Properly decontaminates instruments and / or scopes, re-sterilize, and maintain log of activity.
Keeps the equipment coordinator and / or manager informed of problems or suspected problems with the various pieces of equipment in the operating room.
Supports maintenance of accurate preference cards through communication with surgery team.
Demonstrates proficient knowledge and skills, ability to, and willingly accepts an equality on-call schedule as dictated by staffing levels.
Demonstrates the ability to reduce cost per procedure by not opening supplies that are not needed.
Demonstrates ability to respond to hospital within 30 minutes.
Serves on department specialty focus team and accepts responsibility of assigned area(s).
Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required.
Current ACLS required or obtained within 1 year of hire.
Additional Info :
Full time position, 7am-3 : 30pm, on call(1x a week) and 1 weekend a month required. Must be within 30 miles of facility.
The hospital will offer an hourly range between $21hr-$30hr depending on experience and a full benefit package. Deductibles as low as $250 for Single and $500 for family and then 100% covered at the facility.
Retirement match is person puts in 3% and after 1000 hours worked facility gives 3% and an additional 1.5% for a total of 7.5%.
